The “Eschatology” on “How to Change the World” – Un-rebel Yourself and Become a Grandpa!
Posted by Thomas on July 9, 2009
I read these sweet winged words on Cobus van Wyngaard’s blog today.
To me, eschatology mean that I believe that the world can change, no matter what the odds! And I’m willing to believe that at least some of the people I know are changing the world right now.
This “Emperor has no clothes” syndrome could have been funny if it hadn’t been so sad. The fact of the matter is that these guys are probably not even capable of changing a baby’s diapers let alone the world.
Do these guys read their Bibles? Had they taken the time to study God’s Word they would have noticed that the world they are trying to change is going to wax worse and worse as the time for Jesus Christ to return draws nearer. Agh! but Cobus and his buddies have stripped, unshackled, freed and emancipated eschatology of trivial and insignificant things like the parousia of Christ. Do I hear them singing “We are the new generation of Mighty Men who are going to change the world?” Ah! the Emperor is not only naked, he is also singing.
What does God say about the world in his Word?
Re 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him
Re 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Re 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

I’m not familiar with facebook. The older you get,the harder it is to keep up with the “changing world’s” technology. Would you mind explaining to me how it works. I’d be happy to inform you of my comments.

Oh Thomas that was funny.
Now, why can you get away saying something like this. If I said this in any of my articles my comments section on my blog would be filled with “HOW DARE YOU, you evil, evil, born again Christian you…” by the same Emergent’s who are friends with Cobus.
I didn’t even get to say something remotely as funny as this about Rob Bell, Shane Hipps and Peter Rollins and I was given a hard time. Oh hang on I did allude that Peter Rollins could act like a clown if he wanted because he compared Christianity to that of flash mobs, performing arts and pirates.
You need to give me some pointers on how to say things and not have anyone know what you are really saying. You know like Stephan Joubert…and Cobus, let’s not forget Cobus.
PS: Emergent’s are hijacking my blog name and have made a ‘replica’ of my blog and called it discerningtheworld(3) they use my name and my little elephant avatar too. Can you feeeeellll the loveeeeeeeeee. I can’t.
Oh my I just realised that Cobus’ words are really true, he said above, “…And I’m willing to believe that at least some of the people I know are changing the world right now.”
Well they (Emergent’s, world changers) sure as nuts did a fine job in imitating me and hijacking my Discerning The World name and logo, and YES THEY ARE CHANGING THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD and turning them into a bunch of THUGS!

Dave Hunt had a similar porblem when someone highjacked his website’s title “thebereancall.” The only thing he could do about it was to write a special notice informing his readers that his site was http://www.thebereancall.org and not http://www.thebereancall.com. He made it clear that he had no affiliation with the other site.
There may be several reasons why the emergents target you in stead of me.
1) The mighty men of the emergent clan just love to attack soft targets – women! Satan did the very same thing. He attacked Eve in stead of Adam.
OR
2) You’re fighting on the frontlne. I’m in the rear guard.
OR
3) They don’t have an inkling of an iidea what they’re doing.

No. Think strategically. Who was the real target? What was the real goal? Also, Eve was used as a stepping stone. She took the leadership role and Adam, in stead of rebuking her, approved of what she did and also ate of the fruit. This way he could participate in sin without initiating it and still blame the soft one, should things go wrong. Eve failed playing his role, but he failed in his own role. He was not strong at all. Emergents are all for having woman in leadership positions in churches [Ds. Cobus, too]. They might say it is about equal rights etc. but the result is a ’softening’ of God’s Word. In other words, lawlessness increases in the church and the rebellion grows. Is that not what emerging is about? Lawlessness? “There is no such thing as absolute truth”
No. It is all frontline. Were you not called an agent of Satan himself? Their idea is to attack the messenger and DTW is pushing more buttons with her blunt words. Intolerable! They hardly ever engage with the message, but complain bitterly about ‘how’ it is said. That is the danger to the church see, not the heretical teachings of the emergents.
Wrong! They know they are practising lawlessness. They love it and love when others lead the way into more lawlessness. What do you expect them to do in response to the Internet identity theft and deception by one of their own: rebuke or applause? Watch and learn.
